The goal was to create a place where men could go hang out, work on projects, share a cup of coffee and socialize without pressure.
These men-only spaces have beneficial effects on mental health and social well-being by allowing men to work, break social isolation and give back to their community.
The buddies you make at work have moved on, school buddies are gone, and family moves on, and pretty soon the guy is sitting there looking at the TV and wondering what happened.
A local resident is trying to bring a men’s group movement, which has grown substantially in Australia and New Zealand, to the Okanagan.
